I have always enjoyed painting and drawing and in 2000 with family finally grown I was able to attend many McGregor Summer and winter schools where I enjoyed numerous workshops with various tutors including  Michael Winters and Donald Waters. 

After losing my husband in 2009 I moved from the family property at Goondiwindi and relocated to Noosaville where I paint with the Timbeerwah group of artists. There I watch in awe as my fellow artists paint waves and seascapes with golden beaches. While I have painted many different subjects over the years  I’m still drawn to the landscapes and trees of the inland and find myself  returning to them as subject matter.  

 I have taken part successfully in two man exhibitions in  Goondiwindi and sold paintings from Goondiwindi, through Toowoomba to the Sunshine Coast. I began supporting  the TGS art show while my grandsons were pupils at the school and a number of my works have found new homes there.  

Painting for me is, as well as being a rather addictive hobby, a  daily activity, a form of relaxation and an excellent way to meet people  and to become involved in the community. I’m still trying to paint my masterpiece.
