I always enjoyed drawing as a child and whilst I was able to do some art

through school my first real tuition came from a Flying Arts workshop in

country Central Queensland. The medium was pastel and I felt a smooth

transition from drawing with pencils to using pastel sticks to draw and

also paint. Since then I have attended many workshops with

professional artists and continued to expand my skill base.

My inspiration comes from nature and the world around me. When I see

something that grabs my interest I take photos and as a result I have

thousands of ‘Inspiration’ images just waiting to be brought to life on

paper. I enjoy creating realistic works depicting people, landscapes,

animals and still life although I have recently enjoyed creating some

mixed media works, which tend to be more abstract.
