Amy Elizabeth

Amy is an abstract artist born and raised in Queensland but currently respectfully living and creating on Cammeraygal Land in Sydney. She has always felt the pull to draw, paint or create. After a career in Human Resources, starting a family and some health obstacles,
that internal voice telling her to “just paint” became more insistent and so, not that long
ago, she honoured it by dedicating more time to her artistic practice.

Amy is inspired by the natural environment and the beauty found in nature. She loves to
work abstractly in order to convey a feeling or mood and to enable the viewer to become a
participant in the creative experience. She is a lover of colour, mark making, shape and line
and allowing the paint to do its thing in the form of drips, splatters and areas of thickly
applied paint where the colours swirl and combine themselves in a more random, less
controlled, fashion. She hopes her artworks bring joy.
