Fiona Allison is a Brisbane-based still life artist. She uses a limited oil palate to paint serene botanicals and cherished every day objects, exploring the quality of light. She seeks to give the viewer a sense of calm through pared-back compositions that allow the authentic beauty of objects to reveal themselves.

All the objects that surround us in our homes are often carefully chosen and collected through our lived experiences and life travels.This is the place where we can feel secure and cocooned. These are the meaningful everyday objects I love to paint.”
