Katie Leavey

I am a Sydney based textural artist , predominantly using layers of colours and shapes to create each textured piece. I would definitely say my passion lies with creating texture and body in each artwork. 

I am inspired by nature and the scenery of bush lands, hills and sunsets where I live in the Blue Mountains. Whether I am working on one of my nature based artworks or an abstract statement piece, the combination of mediums and acrylic paints on the canvas create unique textures.  I love to think my artworks bring people as much joy as I feel creating each piece.
