Clare Purser
Clare Purser is a Brisbane-based artist and teacher, central to her practice is en plein air,
seeking to capture a connection to the landscape through painting and drawing. A primary
theme of her work is the environment, with a particular focus on the Border Ranges; its
Gondwana rainforests, and mountains. Clare holds an Honours degree from Queensland
College of Art, Griffith University. Clare is represented by the Woolloongabba Art Gallery in
Brisbane and several interstate galleries. Her work is held in private and public collections,
she has been a finalist in many art prizes and won the Milburn Art Award in 2016.
