Claudia U’Prichard

Claudia U’Prichard’s art is inspired by the contrasts of the Australian
landscape and flora, as well as what she sees and experiences on her travels,
both in Australia and abroad. Claudia spent her early girlhood on her
family's sheep and cattle property near Bollon in South West Qld, before
moving to Jindabyne in beautiful and rugged Snowy Mountains, NSW.  Now
she resides in coastal South East Qld with her husband; and their son and
daughter and grandchildren living nearby bringing her much joy.

Claudia works predominantly with watercolour, adding Inktense pencil,
graphite Aquarelle and ink as desired. Her painting tools include a variety of
brushes, sticks, and feathers. She loves colour and texture and is influenced
by Australian artists John Lovett, Malcolm Carver and Libby Derham, and
her tutor Valerie Pettingill.  Claudia is continually learning and experimenting
to discover and develop her own unique style.

In 2023 Claudia was honoured to receive the Watercolour Award at the
Exhibition of Excellence, Redcliffe. Claudia is a member of the Redcliffe Art
Society, and enjoys participating in workshops and tutorage, and
volunteering at the gallery, shop and behind the scenes.
