Meg Frances

Hi I'm Meg - I’m a landscape and botanical still life artist and paint from my home studio in Brisbane, surrounded by the bush and garden. I have always been passionate about painting and took it up more seriously in late 2021 and am so excited to be sharing something that brings me so much joy!

I am a self-taught artist and paint still life arrangements of things found in my garden - native flowers and fruits paired with interesting ceramics and fabrics. I also paint landscapes inspired by rural Australia. I paint with acrylic on canvas and layer colours, often painting thickly, to create dimension and texture.

I successfully sell my artwork through various stockists, art galleries, group exhibitions, as well as my website and Instagram. Last year I was honoured to be included as a finalist in a number of art awards including the Art to Art Unearthed Art Prize, The Doyles Landscape Art Prize, The Lethbridge Landscape Art Award, The Corner Store Mini Series Art Prize and Aspire Gallery Petite Pieces Art Prize.
