Kate Mitchell

The fluidity, vibrancy and unpredictability of watercolour has influenced Kate’s distinctive playful style of painting over the past 25 years. Based in Brisbane, Kate is best known for her colourful chickens, fish and native birds created with watercolour, handmade papers collected from around the world and finished with hand embroidery. Kate has had a number of successful solo & group exhibitions and won a number of awards. Kate’s vibrant artworks bring simple joy to the homes of her collectors around Australia
and overseas.
