Kerry Fragar
Kerry Fragar is an award-winning photographer who has recently moved to Toowoomba. She creates diverse fine art images ranging from aerial, to travel, animals, landscape- and is also a commercial photographer. She learned the foundations of photography with film and darkroom techniques at school, winning her first awards at the age of 13. She has exhibited as a solo artist, has participated in many group exhibitions, has been a guest speaker and a judge. She has also been published internationally for her commercial work. Kerry travels extensively, having visited 40 countries and produces a diverse collection of fine art images. As a commercial photographer, Kerry's experience ranges from hanging from cliffs, to working with artists on innovative projects, to being 1100m underground photographing state of the art machinery.
Kerry has received recognition within the photographic industry, having portfolios of both her Landscape and Travel images awarded prizes in Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers (Capture Magazine, 2021 and 2018), Commended in The Mono Awards (2024 and 2022), being shortlisted for the Australian Photography Awards (2016) and being named Winner and Runner Up of the Womankind Photographer's Award (2017 and 2021). Featured in the 2025 Grammar Art Show, her work titled “Human: Nature”, an aerial abstract image of cropping, has been recognised by Capture Magazine’s Australia’s Top Emerging Photographers and was also awarded 2nd Place in Womankind Magazine’s Photographer’s Award.
