Gai Woolrych

Gai is an emerging painter who loves detail and light.

Drawing has always been part of her life and when she was young, drawing and
music were her escapes. Armed with her trusty 2B pencil, Gai would spend hours
drawing detailed illustrations of old houses, people, fashion (using Dolly magazine
often for reference), animals and nature, shoes and handbags amongst many other
things.

Recently, in 2022, Gai found oil paints, and it’s feels as if this was what she was
always meant to be doing. Gai's oil paintings include vibrant and delicious florals,
still lives and other favourite subjects such as people, whether they’re portraits or
figurative. Gai paints what she loves and gives her joy and hopes her paintings bring
you joy as well.
