Eva Stallwood

I’m Eva and I hand paint vintage plates from my home in Richmond, Tasmania that I share
with my husband Matthew and two children Lily and Gabe. My inspiration for my plates draws from women I would see in my hometown in the UK, I would sketch these women and add in an emotion I thought they would be feeling. These ladies on these beautiful orphan plates are you and I. They are your neighbour, your friend or your sister. They evoke sadness, joy, angst and even frustration. Emotions we feel as women every day. I paint on these orphan plates so that they have a chance to be seen again and hung and appreciated. I hope you enjoy these ladies as much as I do.
