Kylie Findlay

In 2010 Kylie completed a Bachelor of Visual Art at Southern Cross University, majoring in
Painting and currently work out of her studio in Currumbin, Queensland. Kylie has been a
finalist multiple times in the Dean Cogle Portrait Prize, won Third Place in the 2023 Doyles
Landscape Award, and was a 2024 finalist in TNBT at The Toowoomba Gallery. Her work has
also featured in group exhibitions in Queensland and is in collections in Australia, NZ, USA,
Canada, Norway and the UK.
Kylie’s work is a continual process of creation, review, and re-evaluation. Working with both
acrylic paint and oils, she creates mostly abstract landscape and figurative work, that usually evolves as she works, seeking to finish up with something she finds both aesthetically and energetically pleasing. Kylie’s work often reflect on topics of contemplation and the beauty in imperfection.
