Art has always played an important role in my life and over the years has significantly changed and evolved. Through my paintings I seek to share with others my artistic journey, but also the beauty I see in the world around me.

I grew up just outside of Toowoomba and fell in love with all things crafty. I would always draw and paint from an early age. I studied art in school but instead of progressing to an Arts degree, I instead pursued my interest in education then later community services.

Working with youth, I never lost my passion for creativity. I would often use my skills for lesson plans and activities for young people. After having my fist child, painting became a way of regaining my sense of identity. It has since magnified after child two and three and I find myself most nights hanging out in my studio until all hours of the night.

I currently live around the Darling Downs and Granite Belt, and I often try to take time to see the world through the eyes of my children, with awe and absolute admiration of the natural world. I am repeatedly drawn to birdlife, but I find inspiration from all things that may not be considered as typical. I love to go bushwalking and get outside and be able to fully experience life. We are all surrounded by an incredible beauty, and I am grateful to be able to express my creativity in a form that is so easily able to be shared.
