Helen Hutton

Helen May Artist is the creative studio for emerging visual artist, Helen Hutton.

Based in the rural district of Monto, Central Queensland, Australia; Helen paints with acrylic on canvas in bold colours and fluid brushstrokes to capture local landscapes and flora in expressive form.

Helen is a qualified teacher - now supply teacher, who after a 20 year hiatus from the easel, picked up a brush at the age of 40 and began teaching herself to paint.

Four years on and Helen’s range of products now incorporates original artwork, commissions, fine art reproductions on paper and canvas and a range of art cards.

In 2020, Helen was a Co-founder of ‘Harvest & Co Collective’ in Monto. A Not-for-profit organization designed to share the creative talents of local and regional artisans.

• 2022 - 'CQ Design' Group Exhibition – Touring Bundaberg, Mackay, Brisbane.

This is Helens first year entering the Toowoomba Grammar Art Show and her first showing for 2023.
