Pauline Lawson
Hello, I'm Pauline Lawson, and I seamlessly weave together my rural upbringing, teaching career, family, friends, and passion for art. Growing up on a Hereford stud in the Wandoan area, attending boarding school at Glennie, and earning my teaching degree at USQ, I embarked on a year-long journey around the world before teaching across various outback Queensland communities.
Twenty-six years ago, I finally planted roots in Mungindi, where I strike a balance between teaching at Mungindi Central School, supporting my husband's electrical business, raising 3 children, enjoying golf/music and pursuing my artistic endeavours. My artwork captures the essence of rural life, reflecting my deep connection to nature, culture, and personal experiences, inviting viewers to embark on a journey through local art shows. My involvement in the Brush Strokes Art Club in St George has nurtured my creative confidence and ignited my enthusiasm for sharing my artistry with others especially commission work.
