Lisa Becker
I am a Brisbane-based contemporary artist typically working with acrylic on canvas.
In 2021 I was a gallery finalist in the Lethbridge 20000 Small Scale exhibition and Aspire
Gallery’s Petite Pieces. A regular exhibitor at the Aspects Art Show in Goondiwindi and Royal
Queensland Art Society and I have attended the Brisbane Institute of Art since 2018.
I love exploring different painting techniques and styles from abstract to figurative. My
paintings are mainly acrylic, but I also enjoy incorporating collage or transfers into my work.
Most of my paintings are developed with many layers, I love the surprises and the mistakes that can end up as features in my work. Colour and pattern are very important to me.
