Trudi Harley is a Melbourne based artist whose work involves the exploration of what makes a person who they are often displayed in intricate still life work or in bold portraiture.
Trudi has taught for 10 years in both Government and Independent schools in Melbourne and has worked as a Sales Executive and Art Educator. While currently maintaining her artistic practice she co-owns and runs Atelier Art Supplies in Williamstown, Victoria, which is a major supporter of the arts in the western suburbs of Melbourne. She has a Bachelor of Education, an Honours degree (First Class) in Visual Arts and a Master of Arts degree (Research).
Her Still Life work is often painted in the style of the Spanish Bodegone artists, small intimate paintings and drawings detailing everyday objects and items of historical reference. She has three times been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Portia Geach Memorial Portrait Award.
