Fee is an emerging artist based in the southern Gold Coast hinterland. She began painting late in life and is largely self taught. Her painting practice developed over the last decade through weekly studio classes and regular attendance at artist workshops. An active member of the Royal Queensland Art Society (Gold Coast), she has won numerous awards within that forum. She has had 2 successful Solo Exhibitions with Wild Canary in Brisbane (2023 and 2025).
Her work is inspired by local landscape and botanical subjects, and is a fresh expression of contemporary coastal life. She incorporates mixed media techniques and processes in multiple layers, and allows these mediums to influence the direction the work takes. She frequently uses subtle collage elements which contribute to the originality of her work. The finished pieces are expressive, free interpretations that are a little abstracted, occasionally quirky, and typically have a gentle romantic quality.
