Scarlet Ottowa

Scarlet Ottowa is an abstract and landscape artist hailing from the Northern Beaches Sydney, whose vibrant and emotive work captures the beauty of the natural world. Growing up, Scarlet was deeply inspired by her grandmother, spending countless hours with her, immersing in the study of art and experimentation with various mediums. This foundation led to an artistic journey that began at Mosman High School, where Scarlet excelled in art. Throughout her early career, Scarlet gained recognition in the local community, winning numerous art competitions and showcasing her work in local shops. Her talent even caught the attention of national media, with features on the Today Show and in local newspapers. She is currently a resident artist at "Art Gallery on Avalon Beach" and a part of the Pittwater Artists Trail.

Drawing inspiration from the colours, shapes and feelings found in nature, Scarlet views painting as a genuine expression of personal emotions and experiences. With a passion for outdoor exploration, she often seeks inspiration in local landscapes, translating the subtleties of her surroundings into her art.

Utilizing oil paint and a layered technique, Scarlet creates dynamic compositions that invite viewers into a world of tone, texture and form. Each piece reflects a journey of discovery, encouraging an intimate connection with the unexpected and a deeper appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.
