Jane Reynolds is a still life artist based on the South Coast, NSW. Over the past 20 years, Jane has worked as an animation artist and producer for visual effects in film and television. Throughout this time Jane has brought learnings from this career into her personal painting practice.
Focussing specifically on still life and painting in oils, Jane's work investigates the formal aspects of geometry, colour and light. Domestic objects are combined with abstracted forms to create a visual system of interrelated shapes, tone and silhouette, exploring the optical play between flat planes of colour and sculptural illusion.
