With two major solo shows in 2025, in New South Wales and Korea, Alice Laura Palmer works fulltime as an artist in Sydney, Australia. Her work is based in her classical painting studies in Italy, fused with her earlier Neuroscience studies. She is unique in her approach, using highly accurate and painterly techniques to approach surreal, metaphysical subjects.
She has had four solo shows of work (Bodies of Work, Intercept) in Australia, as well as a major hybrid sculpture/printmaking/performance solo show, ‘Effigy’ at the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art, where she is also expanding her artistic practice in Korea and SE Asia. Following her performances she also created a solo painting show exploring rural rave culture in Australia with AK Bellinger Gallery titled ‘Trance State’.
She was a finalist in several major Australian art awards (Kilgour, Brett Whitely Travelling Scholarship, Manning Gallery Naked and Nude, Black Swan/Lester Prize salon des refuses.
