Dinah Dixon is an Australian emerging visual artist who is inspired by our natural landscape, the warmth of it’s colours, moods and light, exploring both contemporary realistic and abstract intuitive interpretations of her surroundings.

Having lived in Brisbane since the early 1990s, Dinah grew up in country Queensland, with an early appreciation for nature and the land. Her school years were spent in Toowoomba during the 80&90's and her family still resides in the area. After having children, Dinah undertook private art lessons and entered various group exhibitions until holding her first solo exhibition in early 2021.

She paints from her home studio in acrylics and oils, guided by her en-plein air recordings of colour and brushmarks. Dinah finds that being in the landscape itself, absorbing all that is in that moment has really influenced and energised the way she paints.
