Leah Mariani

I'm a Melbourne based artist making art about identity. I am particularly interested in the way societal expectations  mould us into gender conforming ways of behavior. I draw on my experience as a woman and a mother, and  resultantly most of my work is about childhood and womanhood. Recently I have been exploring narratives within  ancient Greek mythology and interpreting these themes through a feminist lens.
