Working mostly in oil paints, my work is an extension of the places I have seen and the images that fill my days. Focusing on the effects of light, mixture of colour, and negative space between objects, I work to capture a moment that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. My inspiration is evolving. One week I may emerge myself in a still life from my kitchen in regional New South Wales. The next I am traveling back to Italy where I first picked up oil paints or surrounding myself in images from the coast of Maine where I grew up. Wherever the brushes lead, I hope to tell a story and entice an emotion in my audience.
